Sunflower using Giant Flowers

Since I forgot to post a flower yesterday I am doing two today :)  Here is the easiest flower I have made the sunflower.  I cut this one out at 4" and it measures about 7" Quite large, This one you could just layer the petals on top of each other if you had to make a bunch of them and glue them down. When you put the center down it hides all the inside so no one would even know. But putting them in the holes on this one isn't very hard.

So let me know which is your favorite flower, or if you have tried this cartridge what flower you have made or are excited to make.

Lotus Flower Using Giant Flowers

This is the Lotus Flower.  I cut it out at 3.5" and it measure about 5" I cut this one out on a heavier cardstock because I love this red cardstock, it's a red linen stock. Which made it hard to get the petals into the base, I think it was just a little to thick of a cardstock.  They did go in, but a hot glued the petals to the base, so they wouldn't keep falling out.  I would recommend not using a tick cardstock on these flowers. The heavy text weight paper seem to work a lot better.

Ashley Flower Using Giant Flowers

Here is the Ashley flower using the Giant Flowers Cartridge.  I cut this flower out at 4" and it measures about 6.5"   This flower was super easy to put together except the middle that was a little bit of a challenge, but once I figured out what I was supposed to do it went together easily.  I have never heard of this flower before, but I think it's a gorgeous flower.

Rose using Giant Flowers

This rose is from the Giant Flowers Cartridge. This cartridge really is fun.  The first flower took awhile, I think it's just a learning curve though.  I didn't want to make the rose because it looked scary and difficult. However it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  It only took about an hour and went together really easy.
It is cut out at 4.5" and measures about 5.5" x 6"
Here are a few photos :
This is the petal just cut out and not folded yet.  I inked them before I folded it, makes it much easier.
Here are all the petals, inked and folded.
Here are all the pettals folded. Remember to bend them back and fold them before you put them in the holder. :)
This is it put together before I put the Glimmer mist on it. Still a very pretty flower.
Here is the final photo with the glimmer mist.  Just made it sparkle a little.
Hope you give this great cartridge a try.  I will have more flowers all week so check back, and let me know which flower you like the best.

Zinnia Flower using Giant Flowers

Here is the second of the Giant Flowers, Flowers that I made, this is the Zinnia Flower.  I cut this flower out at 4" and it measures about 5 x 5 when just sitting.

The more I have used this cartridge the easier and faster these flowers have been.  This one a lot more complicated than the first one of the   I made took just about an hour maybe a little longer, but it did have more work to do on it ,curling all the petals.

I have learned a few things, don't use heavy cardstock, expecally when you are flipping or curling the paper, doens't curl as well.  Like this one turned out really cute but the curles aren't as tight as in the picture in the book.

I have all the flowers made now and I will show you them for next week.
