Zinnia Flower using Giant Flowers

Here is the second of the Giant Flowers, Flowers that I made, this is the Zinnia Flower.  I cut this flower out at 4" and it measures about 5 x 5 when just sitting.

The more I have used this cartridge the easier and faster these flowers have been.  This one a lot more complicated than the first one of the   I made took just about an hour maybe a little longer, but it did have more work to do on it ,curling all the petals.

I have learned a few things, don't use heavy cardstock, expecally when you are flipping or curling the paper, doens't curl as well.  Like this one turned out really cute but the curles aren't as tight as in the picture in the book.

I have all the flowers made now and I will show you them for next week.

Thanks

I made this fun Thanks Card we used the Better Together Cartridge. The overall size of the card is 4 x 6.  The two girls are cut out at 3.5" and the Thanks is 1.3"

The flower on the bottom is from Bazzill.

Super easy and fast. That's one of the great things about the Imagine don't have to layer images and you can still make super cute things.

Snowflake Cake

For this easy Snow Flake Cake we made a 9 x 9 square cake, and lightly frosted then rolled out white fondant and covered the whole cake.

Then we used Light blue and dark blue fondant to cut out the snow flakes.  The large light blue one is 6" and the smaller dark blue ones are 2".  Then we used candy pearls.

When using the fondant we found it better to freeze the fondant before you cut, then remove the access fondant and re-freeze then put it on the cake.  Made the fondant easier to move and use.

Hibiscus Flower

For this Hibiscus flower we used the Giant Flowers Cartridge and cut out all the images at 3”  This made the flower about 6" in diamater.
The back of the booklet gives great step by step instruction on how many of each image to cut out and how to put them together.
Each flower requires different quantities of each of the petals.
This flower  has 5 petals that are cut from 3 different images. The Center base and then the middle section of the flower. I used a little bit of pink distress ink around the edges to give it a little dimension. These would  be perfect for a Luau or Hawaiian theamed party  to use as decoration.

I made a few more of the flowers they are addicting to make, and some require more time than others. This flower took me about 1.5 hours to make and was one of the easier ones to make.  That's why I started with this one.  I will post some of the other flowers next week.
Until Next time - Happy Creating!
